5 Year Satisfaction Guarantee

This guarantee is valid for all new solar and/or battery systems sold and

installed by Arkana Energy (trading as 1KOMMA5° Australia) after 07/06/2024.

1. This guarantee is valid for all new solar and/or battery systems sold and

2. installed by Arkana Energy (trading as 1KOMMA5° Australia) after 07/06/2024.

3. Your system must remain connected to Wi-Fi throughout the entire period (excluding momentary or short term power losses), enabling Arkana Energy to monitor your system and provide support; including but not limited to software updates, performance monitoring, and fault management.

4. To ensure 100% satisfaction, Arkana Energy will periodically reach out to ensure your system is performing optimally and to assist you in realising the benefits of your solar and/or battery system. This guarantee is only valid provided you take

   reasonable steps to leverage this advice to maximise your system's effectiveness

5. In conjunction with point 4 above, If you are unsatisfied with your new solar and/or battery system you must contact us via email (hello@1komma5.com.au) within 92 days (one full billing cycle) following the 5th anniversary of your installation to lodge a reimbursement request for “Out-of-pocket costs”. 

6. Out-of-pocket costs refer to the difference between the savings your system generates and the system's cost. These savings will be calculated using your system's total production (or in the case of a battery the total energy discharged) using the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) default market pricing for your state each year for the 5 year period 

   ( Total System Cost - 5 Year Value of System Production/Disbursement = Reimbursement) 

7. Reimbursements will not be provided before the 5th anniversary.

8. Out-of-Pocket expenses will not be reimbursed if: 

   1. Any third party (excluding Arkana Energy or 1KOMMA5°contractors, agents, or employees) performs works on your solar and/or battery solution, components directly linked to the installation or the electrical circuits powering your system

   2.  Your solar or battery system underperforms due to:

      1. Actions or inactions by you or someone else (excluding Arkana Energy contractors, agents, or employees)

      2. Events beyond human control occurring after installation. Examples include: Natural disasters

      3. An unskilled, unqualified, or inexperienced person removing, reinstalling, repairing, or modifying the system.

      4. Neglecting reasonable maintenance of the solar or battery system or its surroundings, such as allowing tree growth, adding roof obstructions, or obstructing battery ventilation. Please refer to Section 9 within full terms and conditions.

9. In addition to reimbursement, Arkana Energy will uninstall and remove your solar and/or battery system from the site; repairing any installation-related damage to the property.

10. This guarantee does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality, and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
