  • The new 1KOMMA5° Copenhagen showroom in the heart of Nørrebro is the first One-Stop-Shop for clean energy solutions in Denmark and one of more than 25 1KOMMA5° flagship showrooms worldwide, including locations in Malmö, Berlin, Adelaide and Helsinki.

  • The company's end-to-end energy system combines solar panels, batteries, inverters and the AI-powered Heartbeat AI platform, enabling households to optimize their energy use while playing an active role in the energy market.

  • The opening also marks the launch of 1KOMMA5°’s own battery, enabling grid-stabilizing measures and creating additional saving opportunities for private households – enabled by 1KOMMA5°’s unique position as a true one-stop-shop for home energy in Denmark.

Copenhagen, Denmark – Jan 23, 2025 1KOMMA5°, the home electrification company and operator of the energy management software Heartbeat AI from Germany, opens its first flagship store in Copenhagen, bringing New Energy to thousands of households in Denmark. In the new, state-of-the-art Copenhagen flagship store is the first One-Stop-Shop for clean energy solutions in Denmark. Consumers can explore the company’s hardware and software technologies for home electrification, learning how to optimize their energy usage and reduce their carbon footprint. Copenhagen is one of more than 25 flagship showrooms worldwide, with the next Danish location already planned in the city center of Aarhus.

“By connecting the household's energy systems to the rhythm of wind and sun, we radically transform how energy works today, always supplying the cleanest and cheapest energy possible,” explains David Sätterman, COO of 1KOMMA5° Nordics. “By giving New Energy a physical presence in the capital of Denmark, we hope to be able to educate and spark dialogue, by showing how a climate-friendly future can be achieved cost-effectively.”

Philipp Schröder, CEO and co-founder of 1KOMMA5°, explains: ”Our aim is to convert 500,000 buildings a year to climate-friendly electricity, heating and mobility by 2030. New Energy is a win-win-win for consumers, the energy system and the climate. There is no way around it. We demonstrate this with our flagship showrooms around the world.”

The company's end-to-end system, which combines batteries, inverters, solar panels and the AI-powered Heartbeat AI platform, enables households to optimize their energy use while playing an active role in the energy market. 1KOMMA5° has already installed over 300,000 controllable energy systems for customers worldwide.

European grids have been increasingly stressed by ever more renewable electricity production, with wind and solar capacities reaching new records. “Renewable energy is very volatile, creating large fluctuations in energy prices that we see today,” says Sätterman. “With Heartbeat AI, we provide the software that allows our customers to benefit from volatility while also creating a solution for balancing volatile energy production and consumption.”

The energy management platform Heartbeat AI purchases electricity at the spot market when prices are lowest and sells excess electricity back to the grid when prices are highest. Low prices automatically correlate with lower CO2 emissions. Simultaneously, Heartbeat AI helps stabilize the grid.

With the showroom opening, 1KOMMA5° also launched its first own battery in Denmark which is designed to meet the challenges of the changing energy market. The 1KOMMA5° battery is a next-gen AI-optimized energy storage unit enabling the usage of Heartbeat AI, unlocking new flexibility in energy consumption.

Fast response times and high data resolution make it suitable for grid-stabilizing measures and intra-day trading. Instead of charging during the day and discharging at night, the 1KOMMA5° battery is designed to perform multiple micro cycles throughout the day. It provides an ultra-high data resolution on the available power and reacts within seconds.

Only last month, 1KOMMA5° announced its approval to provide frequency containment reserve (FCR-D) in Sweden. This allows private households to participate in the stabilization of the electricity grid through Heartbeat AI’s decentralized virtual power plant, which bids in the FCR market as an aggregator. As the DK2 grid region of Denmark is managed by a similar entity to that of the Swedish market, the approval process for DK2 is expected to be completed in the coming months, providing yet another source of income for Heartbeat AI customers in Denmark.

Along with the 1KOMMA5° battery, 1KOMMA5° Denmark now also introduces heat pumps and the 1KOMMA5° inverter - units that are ready for use with and optimization by Heartbeat AI - allowing 1KOMMA5° to be a true one-stop-shop for home energy solutions in Denmark.
