New Federal Battery Rebate Is Here
Here's what you need to know:
You could save up to 30% or $3,500 on a 10 kWh battery. Bigger systems mean bigger savings, with discounts of up to $17,500 on a 50 kWh battery.
Like the federal solar rebate (SRES), the subsidy will decrease over time until it ends in 2030.
Available to homeowners, small businesses, and community groups installing batteries between 5–100 kWh (rebate applies to the first 50kWh of usable capacity).
Owners of existing systems can add another battery and still qualify. You can claim for multiple properties.
Must be installed with a new or existing solar system by a CEC-accredited installer.
