1KOMMA5° Australia guarantees battery rebate for customers installing now

MELBOURNE, Australia, 13 May 2025 – 1KOMMA5° Australia, a top five national solar and battery installer, has announced it will guarantee the upcoming government battery rebate for customers who choose to install systems ahead of 1 July, 2025.

The guarantee provides certainty to customers that they can proceed or accelerate their plans to install a battery ahead of the official launch of the program, while still receiving the full financial benefits of the rebate.

The announcement addresses growing customer uncertainty around installation timing, with many homeowners hesitant to proceed with planned installations until the rebate officially begins in July.

"While customers who install batteries now will still need to adhere to the government's timing guidelines around when they can switch on their battery, our guarantee removes the financial uncertainty. Homeowners can beat the rush, install today and still enjoy the full financial benefit of the rebate," Stronach continued. 

There are a number of requirements that batteries must meet to be eligible for the rebate, including that they’re capable of connecting to a Virtual Power Plant (VPP).
