This is a little complex to answer as it is dependent on where you live, your lifestyle, the size of your solar system and how much energy you use. Solar batteries make it possible for many households to run on solar power for 24 hours a day.
Make sure you talk to us so we can help you assess the right sized solar system for your current and future needs in order to meet your average daily usage as well as to make sure that the Tesla Powerwall not only lasts but allows you to maximise the benefits you’re getting.
Some customers with particularly high daily usage overnight (particularly on bigger properties) invest in multiple Powerwalls to better meet their energy needs. Powerwalls can be stacked (mounted one in front of the other with a Telsa Stacking Kit) or installed side-by-side.
The battery is sized to hold a capacity of 13.5 kWh. This means a typical family home will be able to run all evening on stored solar power from the Tesla Powerwall.
The Tesla Powerwall product warranty is 10 years, with 70% minimum retained capacity, giving Aussie households the peace of mind that should anything go wrong, they will be covered.
