The estimated lead time for a solar system with battery storage and/or an EV charger is currently 2-4 weeks from the date of order confirmation. Once you place your order, our solar installation coordinator will reach out to you and schedule the installation time as soon as possible.
How long does it take to get a solar quote and a callback?
We will call you within 24 hours of receiving your quote request.
Once we have received all the information we need from you, you will usually receive your quote 1-2 hours after the initial call.
What solar rebates are available in Canberrra?
Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) are a federal government incentive in which homeowners receive certificates for the solar energy their system will generate over a set period. These certificates can then be sold to help offset the upfront cost of installing solar panels.
Canberra homeowners can also access 3% interest loan of up to $15,000 through the Sustainable Household Scheme. These loans can help cover the cost of energy-efficient upgrades such as solar batteries.

Is there a solar battery rebate available in Canberra?
Yes. Starting 1 July 2025, Canberra residents can access the new federal battery rebate under the Cheaper Home Battery Program. It is a nationwide scheme that offers up to 30% off the cost of eligible home batteries.
The subsidy amount varies based on your battery's usable capacity. In 2025, the estimated amount is around $370 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). If you install a battery with a usable capacity of 10 kWh, your rebate would be around $3,700.
If you're in the ACT, you can combine the federal rebate with the low-interest loan available through the Sustainable Household Scheme. In addition, the rebate amount will decline annually, so the sooner you install your battery, the more you save.
How much do solar systems cost in Canberra?

Prices for a solar panel system typically start from around $1.20 per watt, including the components and the standard installation. So, if you are eyeing a 7 kW system, you'd be looking at approximately $8,400. You can easily estimate your cost by multiplying the system size in watts by $1.20.
If you want to add a battery, pricing usually starts from $1,500 per kilowatt-hour, excluding rebates. For instance, a 5 kW battery would start from around $7,500 installed.
