The subsidy amount varies based on your battery's usable capacity. In 2025, the estimated amount is around $370 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). If you install a battery with a usable capacity of 10 kWh, your rebate would be around $3,700.
If you're in the ACT, you can combine the federal rebate with the low-interest loan available through the Sustainable Household Scheme. In addition, the rebate amount will decline annually, so the sooner you install your battery, the more you save.
